Hi! I'm Katie, a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, Yoga & Meditation Teacher.
Mission
To motivate and educate you to connect back to creating and eating healthy foods to nourish your body as well as connect to your body & breath through yoga and meditation to nourish your mind and soul.
My Journey

First of all, welcome to my website, thank you for being here. I want to tell you a bit about my journey so far in hopes that it inspires you!
​
In 2003 I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. The full diagnosis at that time was juvenile idiopathic arthritis - rheumatoid factor positive. What I now know to mean is "young arthritis and we don't know why you have it." I have no family history of rheumatoid arthritis so it always puzzled the doctors why I got it.

I have been on many different medications and tried everything the western medical field could offer me. From prednisone to methotrexate and the side effects, to doctors telling me I would be in a wheel chair by the time I was 30 (I just turned 30 and can assure you I am healthier than I have ever been), I have done it all. I had exhausted the western medical route and found myself thinking there had to be another way. That is when I found out about holistic nutrition.
Once I graduated from university with a Bachelor of Arts, major in Sport, Health, & Physical Education I pursed the holistic nutrition program in hopes to learn more about health and wellness and if it could help me. I was smacked right in the face with information that could change my life for the better. I'll have to admit, at first I was extremely mad that no one had told or shown me about this information before, but then I learned that it all comes when you are ready to hear it or make the change.
I made the change.
I graduated from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in 2013 as a registered holistic nutritionist. I have worked with clients on health challenges such as bloating, poor digestion, inflammation, and autoimmune conditions. I have given many workshops on topics such as cleansing, fermenting, gut health, plant based nutrition, and much more.
What I am getting at is I have applied the information that I learned as a holistic nutritionist and have seen amazing results. I have drastically lowered my medications with periods of coming off everything. I have learned how to properly fuel my body with nourishing foods, positive thoughts, yoga and meditation to drastically improve my health. So much so that I want to help others gain back their health and wellbeing.
In April 2020 I graduated my 200 hour yoga teacher training and am a registered yoga teacher. I have been teaching online live Hatha yoga classes and yoga series for a year, put on virtual wellness retreats with the hopes of in-person wellness retreats in the near future, taught in person classes at two different local studios, private yoga and I share shorter yoga class on my YouTube channel (click here to head there) and so much more.
